Silence threshold (dB): audio below this volume is treated as silence. A smaller value such as -50dB is stricter; a larger value such as -25dB removes more quiet background sound.
Minimum silence duration: quiet sections shorter than this value are kept, which avoids removing natural pauses between words. Start around 300-800ms.
Padding: the amount of time kept before and after detected speech. 80-200ms usually makes cuts sound more natural and avoids clipping word endings.

What if the duration does not change?
The audio may not contain silence that matches the current settings. Try raising the threshold toward -25dB or lowering the minimum silence duration to detect more short pauses.
How large can the file be?
Processing runs locally in the browser, so the practical limit depends on device memory and browser decoding. For very long audio, split it into smaller sections first.
Why can the processed file become larger?
This version exports WAV, which is editing-friendly but often larger than MP3/M4A. For a smaller file, import the WAV into an editor or converter and export MP3.
